One of the events that I was hired to work was the Cosmic American Music Experience put on by Amoeba Records and Carsondaly.tv. One of the acts (Kate Walsh) went on after dark and there was basically no light to work with. So, I went solo the following day to the SESAC day stage at the SXSW convention floor to shoot a quick 20 minute set by Ms. Walsh.

Just back yesterday from South by Southwest in Austin, TX. A little tired after a 12 hour travel day, but other than that, it was a great trip.
Tiffany had a great show at the convention center and I had a great time on some shoots throughout the festival.
Our first gig was shooting the Amoeba Music Label artists at The Compound. We filmed an interview with Quincy Coleman, Brandi Shearer and Kate Walsh and then had the pleasure of filming their live performances.
I was brought in on this gig by Ray Schlogel at Underground planet. If anyone is ever in need of a shooter in the Austin area, please give Ray a call. He’s a solid guy and very talented. He’s also a Sony PMW EX1 owner operator! Click on the banner below to get in touch with him.
After the Amoeba party, the next bit of business was filming two shows for Australian up and comer Old Man River. This band is great fun and was a blast to shoot.
Their music is catchy and they were a definite fan favorite at the festival. Thanks to Troy Barrott from Hub Artist Management for booking Kilroy Films on the job.
